6-8 LLD Program
In my classroom, students will receive instruction in English/Language Arts, math, science and social studies. In addition to these subjects, your child will become familiar with a variety of real-world experiences through the Life Skills curriculum. I look forward to going on field trips and conducting many hands-on activities with students so they are exposed to the curriculum in the most practical and fun ways.
I anticipate working closely with you and your child so that he/she is able to grow academically and is introduced to the skills necessary in order to become positive, productive adults. I will always do my best to ensure that students feel happy, secure, and respected in my classroom. I believe that student progress is largely based on the efforts of the child as well as a comfortable learning atmosphere. Of course, consistent support and encouragement from you makes a world of difference in your child’s progress.
Please always feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I foresee a constructive and rewarding year!

Homework will be based on activities and topics that we are completing in class. Check your child's homework folder regularly for homework assignments as well as trip notices and permission slips. As an incentive, homework will not be counted toward a grade, but instead, students will use a token system to monitor their homework completion. Please refer to the student handbook for our school homework policy as well.
