Due:
Civil Rights was a big issue in the late 1960s. It is clear it is again today. Listen to this song. If you want to share some thoughts please do so. This is NOT a graded assignment, but one that is extremely relevant and important today. Take a moment and reflect on the events of the past, as described in the song, to the events of today. It always helps to share thoughts and opinions with trusted friends during troubling times.

Due:
Follow the directions IN THE DOCUMENT. Time Management will be VERY important. This is the last assignment of the year and despite this horrid end, I wanted to be sure to praise you all for your dedication, your fine work habits, and your desire to learn and work hard. You have been a great class to teach! Have the best summer possible and remember this too shall pass, and social studies students will study this event in the future and you will be able to tell them you lived through it!
Due:
I have turned on "originality reports" which will help you avoid plagiarism. Please read the instructions attached carefully. This is a long assignment with an extended due date. Because we will not be meeting next week, [we are taking the Philly trip], please read over the material and ASK ME if you are confused. I am giving it before the holiday only to be started if you want to, keeping in mind there is much to be done. DO NOT LEAVE IT TILL THE LAST DAY TO DO IT. Do a little at a time, TIME MANAGEMENT is important. We will discuss your insights when we meet again 6/3
Due:
Just a quick reflection about what you see/learn about it.

Due:
Read the statistics and advantages, the railroads, and the worst battles attachments. Please list, [DO NOT USE GOOGLE SLIDES] The advantages that the North had going into and during the Civil War, numbered in the order of importance, in YOUR opinion. In other words, the biggest advantage first #1, the the next#2 and next etc. Make that list as complete as you can. Then take the first two and the last two, and in a short paragraph for each, explain your reasoning.
Due:
Watch this video and write bullets, NO SLIDES, about what you learned. YOU MUST click on the word open to be able to see it. You also might click on the three dots on the upper right corner and choose open in a new window. You must use your Memorial School account. If all else fails, try using your phone. Also try to answer the form
Due:
This will be a grade. You should be able to answer right on the question sheet and submit that as attached..if you can't create your own form and submit...if you are having trouble with the ..What You Need to Know" try this..https://tinyurl.com/yc6gqvv3 If you are having trouble typing on the doc that was given. All you have to do is go to the three dots in top right corner, click on it and "open an new window". Then you click on "Open with" in center of screen and open it with Google docs. Then when you are done you just upload the Google doc to the assignment. Also use the link in the doc to get to the interactive."
Due:
There were three more events that made the war inevitable [look that word up if you don't understand it]. I have given you a document that both lists the three events and gives a short explanation about them. The assignment, which is both in the document and listed here, is to justify both sides of the conflict based somewhat on the parts of the historical documents I laid out for you but also on your understanding of the areas of social studies. Please make sure you use the five areas of social studies, in varying degrees because some may be more important, in your opinion, than others [ hint: economics, sociology, geography, civics and history all play a part ]. This will require a real dive into thinking about WHY.. this war had to happen..Although I am setting a due date for Thursday 4/9, because this is a paper that I hope you will work hard on, I will accept papers after the due date into Spring Break if you feel it is necessary for you to do a great job.
Due:
Read this and do it.There is a choice for every system in the program that says "get cookies enabled. Then open a doc, just like a real assignment, and tell me you understand or do not understand.
