Day 6

Good morning everyone and happy Monday! Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend! We wanted to remind you of a few things with online learning-

1) Please do not use a calculator to do the work. We can see how many problems in how many minutes you complete the IXL assignments. We know you know how to use a calculator.. we need to check whether you understand how to do it with paper and pencil! Checking your answer is a different story! We would rather you take your time, not get a 100% but understand what you are learning, then rush, use a calculator, and have learned nothing.

2) From this point on, please photograph all work (give or take a few that can be done in your head- just like how we did during class) and attach to the Day's assignment. We will post a video/tutorial on how to do that. This includes scrap paper for ixl assignments, textbook pages assigned that day, and standards review practice pages. This is starting today, so don't worry about last week's work.

3) it is your responsibility to make sure work is being completed fully and in a timely manner. We sent a lot of emails and messages last week in regards to missing assignments. Each day has a small list of assignments and resources to use, please make sure you are “checking things off” as you complete them. You are receiving grades for your efforts and completeness of work, along with your level of understanding (number grade).

4) We as teachers need to make sure you are still learning, gaining knowledge, and understanding each day. We are here to help you with any concept we are going over or reviewing. Please take advantage of our live hours! One of us is available at a given time during 9am-2pm. Please reference the schedule posted.
