Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Henderson's 5th Grade Class

Class Information:
 We will be your child's Language Arts teacher this year.  We will follow the Reader's Workshop model.  We will be reading a class novel for each unit as well as small group novels to master the skills and concepts taught during our whole group instruction. 
 
We will also be teaching your child Science and Social Studies throughout the year.  Science is taught marking periods 1 and 3. Social Studies will be taught marking periods 2 and 4. 
 
 
Homework:
Homework will be assigned daily.  Please check your child's agenda daily for any additional assignments.
